Recipient of the prix d’excellence de la Chambre des notaires du Québec, she completed her master’s degree in notarial law in 2019 at the same university. After completing her internship in the fall of 2018, Charlotte Egesborg joined Gagné Isabelle Patry Laflamme & Associés as a notary in April 2019.

Mtre Chloé Bérubé obtained her degree in civil law (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa in 2010. She then went on to achieve a Master of Laws, with a concentration in notarial law (LL.M.), which she finished in 2011 at the same University. Mtre Bérubé started working for Gagné, Isabelle, Patry, Laflamme & Associés as a student in March 2007. She then completed her internship and became one of the firms’ notaries.

Mtre Christophe Larocque has been a member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec since 2009, having obtained his diploma of notarial law as well as his bachelor’s degree in civil law from the Université de Sherbrooke. He joined Gagné Isabelle Patry Laflamme & Associés in November 2009 to practice real estate law. Subsequently, he joined the commercial law team and now has a diversified practice, which namely includes business start-ups, commercial financing, commercial leases, sale of businesses and drafting of shareholders’ agreements.

Mtre John Lapierre, notary, B.A. Crim., LL.L., D.D.N., earned a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in criminology before completing his licence in civil law at the University of Ottawa in 1998 and earning his notarial law diploma from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1999. Admitted as a notary in January 2000, John has since then been focusing on his objective to further develop his experience in non-traditional legal fields.

 

Showing a keen interest in business law and tax law, he keeps acquiring knowledge and improving his expertise to offer quality services tailored to meet the needs of the firm’s clients. Mtre Mario Patry, notary, B.A., LL.L., D.D.N., graduated in notarial law from the University of Ottawa in 1977. Specialized in real estate and business law, this experienced notary provides services to a mixed clientele of individuals and entrepreneurs.

 

For many years, Mtre Patry has been very involved in the integration of new notaries within the firm and was also a coveted mentor for about ten years. He has served on the board of directors of the Caisse Desjardins de Hull for more than 23 years and has held senior positions within the Desjardins Group. He was chairman of the Association des professionnels en droit immobilier et de passage du Québec for more than 10 years.

 

He now sits on the board of directors of the Fondation du Cégep de l’Outaouais, of which he was chairman for 4 years and remains active in the regional economic affairs network, namely as governor of the CCIO. The Gatineau Chamber of Commerce elected him Personality of the Year in 2013.

 

Always keen to be at the forefront of the profession, he is very active within the firm to ensure the development of a new field of practice unique in Québec: Dispute Prevention and Resolution. He subsequently completed his internship and has been practicing at the firm since he became a notary in March 2015.

 

Mtre Turpin practices primarily in business law, namely for the sale and financing of commercial real estate properties. He will also be able to assist with the incorporation of a corporation, as well as with the sale of shares or the sale of a business. His knowledge of civil and common law allows him to solve a multitude of legal issues arising in the region of the national capital and to help his clientele with such issues. Mtre Michèle Lafontaine, LL.L., D.D.N., LL.M., obtained her degree in notarial law from the University of Ottawa in 1994. She then obtained a master’s degree in civil law, with a specialization in sales under judicial order in 1998. She joined the firm in 1994 to develop business law. In that capacity, she provides legal services to a significant number of businesses of the Outaouais region. She also acts as legal advisor for business transfers and commercial transactions and collaborates with tax specialists to set up and optimize the corporate structures of her clients.

 

As Mtre Lafontaine has also been a teacher at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law in business law and cyberspace law, she aspires to better understand the realities and problems of her business clients. Mtre Lafontaine has also been involved in the community for many years and currently sits on the board of directors of the Ottawa International Airport Authority, Vision Multisport Outaouais and the Fonds régional de solidarité Outaouais.

Mtre Véronique Laliberté, notary, obtained a degree in civil law (LL.L.) and a master’s degree in notarial law (LL.M.) from the University of Ottawa in 2013 and 2014. She was sworn in by the Chambre des notaires du Québec in March 2015 and began her practice at the same time in the Outaouais region. She joined Gagné Isabelle Patry Laflamme & Associés in September 2018 to carry on her profession, particularly in the fields of estate law and law of persons. She now practices in the field of business law and commercial real estate law.

Her curiosity led her to study the Chinese legal system at the China University of Political Science and Law as well as the Innu legal system in the Uashat Reserve in Sept-Îles. Prior to her legal career, she was a radio host for stations of the Outaouais, Lower Laurentians and northern Ontario regions.

 

Involved and committed, Mtre Laliberté has been involved in several associations throughout her academic and professional career. She continues this commitment as a director on the board of directors of the Association des notaires de l’Outaouais.

Mtre Mireille Alary, notary, LL.L., D.D.N., earned a degree in notarial law with summa cum laude honours from the University of Ottawa in 1990. After starting her career with a regional study, she decided to team up with a colleague in February of 1993 and eventually took over the records of Mtre Louise Bélanger, then president of the Chambre des notaires du Québec. She joined Gagné, Isabelle, Patry, Laflamme & Associés in May 2001 as partner.

 

She completed her general practice of real estate law by developing a specialization in agricultural law. In recent years, she has shown interest in municipal law and in the conservation of our natural resources, through many mandates obtained from a conservation organization active in the region.

 

Since August 1997, she has been splitting her time between the Gatineau office (Hull sector) and the satellite office of Shawville in the Pontiac region, which addresses the legal needs of this rural region that is rich in leisure and agricultural properties. Since 2016, she has also been in charge of the satellite office of the Aylmer sector.

 

Mother of four, she is actively involved in her family’s activities, serves as chairman of the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce, as vice-president of the Association des professionnels, industriels et commerçants d’Aylmer (APICA) and is a member of several committees, including the agricultural law committee of the PME INTER Notaires network.

After starting her career with a regional study, she decided to team up with a colleague in February of 1993 and eventually took over the records of Mtre Louise Bélanger, then president of the Chambre des notaires du Québec. She joined Gagné, Isabelle, Patry, Laflamme & Associés in May 2001 as partner.

 

She completed her general practice of real estate law by developing a specialization in agricultural law. In recent years, she has shown interest in municipal law and in the conservation of our natural resources, through many mandates obtained from a conservation organization active in the region.

 

Since August 1997, she has been splitting her time between the Gatineau office (Hull sector) and the satellite office of Shawville in the Pontiac region, which addresses the legal needs of this rural region that is rich in leisure and agricultural properties. Since 2016, she has also been in charge of the satellite office of the Aylmer sector.

 

Mother of four, she is actively involved in her family’s activities, serves as chairman of the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce, as vice-president of the Association des professionnels, industriels et commerçants d’Aylmer (APICA) and is a member of several committees, including the agricultural law committee of the PME INTER Notaires network.

Throughout her school career, she gained experience while working with Gagné Isabelle Patry Laflamme & Associés, where she did her internship and began working as a notary in 2013.

 

Surrounded by the firm’s team with whom she developed a great complicity, she was able to grow as a professional. Her practice is now focused on real estate law and on the drafting of wills, protection mandates and agreements between common-law partners. This young and meticulous notary stands out with her ability to listen and her continuous availability to her clients.

Mtre Véronique Laliberté, notary, obtained a degree in civil law (LL.L.) and a master’s degree in notarial law (LL.M.) from the University of Ottawa in 2013 and 2014. She was sworn in by the Chambre des notaires du Québec in March 2015 and began her practice at the same time in the Outaouais region. She joined Gagné Isabelle Patry Laflamme & Associés in September 2018 to carry on her profession, particularly in the fields of estate law and law of persons. She now practices in the field of business law and commercial real estate law.

Her curiosity led her to study the Chinese legal system at the China University of Political Science and Law as well as the Innu legal system in the Uashat Reserve in Sept-Îles. Prior to her legal career, she was a radio host for stations of the Outaouais, Lower Laurentians and northern Ontario regions.

 

Involved and committed, Mtre Laliberté has been involved in several associations throughout her academic and professional career. She continues this commitment as a director on the board of directors of the Association des notaires de l’Outaouais.

Mtre Gilles Laflamme, notary, LL.L., D.D.N., graduated in notarial law from the University of Ottawa in 1978. This experienced notary is a leader in the area of rural property, such as cottages, as well as in co-ownership law and is often involved in the major real estate development projects of the region.

 

He has been specializing in this field since he joined our association, and in 1980 he studied condominium law at the University of Montreal, a field he taught at the University of Ottawa and presented to his colleagues at a training session of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

 

For this experienced jurist, who comes from a family of businessmen, the respect of individual rights is the backbone of any declaration of co-ownership and of any project to convert to co-ownership.

 

He continues to collaborate with the firm since his retirement, acting as legal advisor for mandates in his field of expertise. Me Laflamme also worked closely with Me Katherine Lauzon during the two years preceding his retirement so that she could take good care of his clients.
