Michèle Lafontaine
Business Law, Financing and Business Transfer
Mtre Michèle Lafontaine, LL.L., D.D.N., LL.M., obtained her degree in notarial law from the University of Ottawa in 1994. She then obtained a master’s degree in civil law, with a specialization in sales under judicial order in 1998. She joined the firm in 1994 to develop business law. In that capacity, she provides legal services to a significant number of businesses of the Outaouais region. She also acts as legal advisor for business transfers and commercial transactions and collaborates with tax specialists to set up and optimize the corporate structures of her clients.
As Mtre Lafontaine has also been a teacher at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law in business law and cyberspace law, she aspires to better understand the realities and problems of her business clients. Mtre Lafontaine has also been involved in the community for many years and currently sits on the board of directors of the Ottawa International Airport Authority, Vision Multisport Outaouais and the Fonds régional de solidarité Outaouais.
